Three projects. One summer. Two shipped.
At YouTube, I embedded with the Paid Digital Goods team across three concurrent workstreams.
Core Gifting Experience (NDA)
Led interaction design exploration for YouTube Live gifting across three milestone builds, partnering with PM, Engineering, and UXR through multiple rounds of validation. Detailed designs are protected under NDA, but I'm happy to discuss my contributions and process in interviews.
The other two projects (gift oriented) shipped.
The Howling Husky became the #1 gift on the platform.
For YouTube's Dog Day campaign, I led the full design process for a set of seasonal gifts, generating, editing, and validating assets before handing directly to engineering. One gift, the Howling Husky, reached #1 on the platform within its first weeks and drove 9% of YouTube's gifting revenue for August. It has since been converted from seasonal to evergreen.
I also joined the launch of YouTube's first-ever AR gifts, not because I was assigned, but because I saw the project needed design support and took initiative. What started as volunteering ended with my work in the official design review, my name across the internal documentation, and two shipped AR gifts on the platform.
